The Galaxy E5 is based on the Geely Electric Architecture (GEA). The first version will have one 160 kW electric motor (about 218 horsepower) powered by an LFP battery pack. An EREV version with the latest Shendun battery technology will also be available later, promising a range of up to 2,000 km. This version will revolutionize the way we perceive the range of electric vehicles.

Geely aims to offer the Geely Galaxy E5 at a competitive price, which is expected to be between RMB 150,000 and 200,000 (approx. €19,400 – €25,800). With these prices, Geely has clearly demonstrated its global ambitions, as it plans to produce both left and right-hand drive vehicles, opening the door to markets around the world. If the Galaxy E5 makes it to the European market, we can expect the price to go up due to import duties, but it will still be competitive. Based on the Chinese price, we could expect a price of around €30,000 to €35,000 in Europe, which is still affordable for a wide range of buyers.
