With the P series phones, it seems that Huawei has been listening to users extremely well in recent years and preparing smartphones that mainly play on real emotions. They give users exactly what they want most. And the latest Huawei P30 Pro smartphone is no different. Again, they listened to users and improved the old proven package and upgraded it in all those areas that are most important to users. So they literally gave them bread and games!
Huawei with a new smartphone Huawei P30 Pro improves on the proven formula that has led him to success in recent years and in fact incredible sales figures, both here and in all world markets. And this formula is quite simple. Users should be given a device that they can use all day without worrying about having to charge it additionally. And a device that will easily replace the family digital camera. And it seems that they have fulfilled this recipe to the letter in the new series of smartphones Huawei P30 Pro. With the Huawei P series, the key to success is the user experience and returning customers.
Let's get to the basics first. The Huawei P30 Pro is compared to its predecessor, the P20 Pro grown a bit. Consequently, it has bigger screen, which now measures 6.47 inches (was 6.1). Interestingly, this time the P30 version will be as big as the previous P20 Pro version. So the phones of this manufacturer are getting a little bigger. Even at the expense of the fact that people obviously like bigger devices and that the direct competitor Samsung S10+ also has a 6.4-inch screen. It is interesting that the two phones are practical identically tall as well as similarly wide.
But the developers at Huawei don't just like the dimensions of the Samsung S10+. Some inspiration can thus also be detected in the design itself. This is what we have been seeing from Huawei since the Huawei Mate 20 model a nicely curved screen that ends suspiciously the same or very similar in design at the edges. This is also why the shape of the new Huawei P30 smartphone does not represent a special design excess for us personally, but we can easily write down: déjà vu. Even though the phone is in hand an extremely beautiful piece of industrial design, which is made with a precision that only the Chinese and Koreans are capable of nowadays, it seems that they did not experiment with the form. Or rather, they were even conventionally somewhat reserved or pragmatic.
So for example OLED screen it does not have a cut-out only for the camera, like the Samsung S10+, but instead insists on a more affordable solution teardrop-shaped incisions, still clinging to the edge of the screen. But many people may like this even more. It hides under the screen optical fingerprint reader, which is slightly improved compared to the one in the Huawei Mate 20 phone. However, we can't shake the feeling that Huawei can do better, but they don't even try. That it is simply easier to take something here, something there and make a good and proven package. This is not a bad thing, but on the other hand, it is difficult to be the best in this way, or it is more difficult to convince the professional public that you can do better than all the competition. What they really want from Huawei. But that is why it will also be necessary to be innovative and, above all, different. This Huawei P30 Pro smartphone is simply not there in terms of overall impression and design. It's good, even extremely good, but not enough different and too similar to some direct competitors.
The basics also include the interior and the heart of the new Huawei P30, where the Huawei Mate 20 was taken as the engineering basis. So inside, the latest and greatest ticks away Kirin 980, which rests 8 cores and the latest 7nm technology. It is the fruit of one's own development, which is also a certain advantage over all other manufacturers that bet on Qualcomm processors. The Kirin processor enables Huawei to take care of maximum utilization of artificial intelligence functions, battery management and applications. To the processor, the company works until 8 GB of working memory with storage up to 256 GB, which can be upgraded with a memory nano card up to 512 GB. It can also be installed in place of the latter another SIM card, as the system is of a hybrid nature.
But the magic begins at photography. Features that smartphone users put first. This is also why Huawei insists on cooperation with the legendary German specialist Leica and thus they are trying to bring smartphone photography with innovations to the highest possible technological level. This time, they definitely took a step forward with the cameras, which starts with the front-facing camera. The latter can do just that 32 MP and is supported by a Sony sensor. This also makes the selfies damn good and full of detail. "Selfie" or self photography is supported by the function they named it AI HDR. It analyzes the recording with the help of artificial intelligence and then combine multiple shots into a whole, in order to obtain the greatest possible range of details and thus the best possible result. So, for example, selfies with an extremely bright background are balanced. Those recorded in the dark are decent. The main magic is on the back of this smartphone, where there are quite a few 4 cameras (one more than the previous generation), each with its own separate function. So it is available wide-angle main camera (27mm) with as much as 40 MP, the one with which users will take the most photos and is very close to what we see with the naked eye. He keeps her company ultra wide angle camera (16mm) with 20MP and it is the one with which the fathers of the family will capture in the image firefighter photos with all members of the family. Of course, it's still here tele lens with 8 MP, which is the camera that voyeurs will most often reach for when they are watching out for their neighbors, because it pauses 5x optical zoom, which it upgrades with digital zoom (up to a hybrid 10x zoom). Huawei is particularly proud of the latter, and it represents a significant leap in quality. All this "hardware" equipment still works sociably fourth camera, which mainly takes care of depth estimation and 3D modeling of the shot, and thus the possibility of creating various photo effects. On the back, in addition to the Leica inscription, there is also the 16mm-125mm inscription, which those of you who have already encountered photography will immediately recognize and thus understand more easily what kind of photo capabilities the lenses and photo systems of the P30 Pro offer. Photo equipment package supported by artificial intelligence, which in the last year has been refined to the extent that it improves some recordings in a more sophisticated and decent way. It is also noticeable that they are basically all of them beauty effects off. And that's right. It is also greatly improved taking photos in low light conditions. Thus, night photography is at the level of the Mate 20 Pro, which set new standards.
And if the photo is most important to users, then it is durability and battery life immediately in second place. And this is where Huawei took care of satisfied users some time ago, and is spoiling them this time as well. The battery of the new Huawei P30 Pro has grown a bit and now it can hold just enough 4200 mAh (previously 4000 mAh), and for the first time with the P series it is also possible wireless charging with fast charging 15 W, which also enables reverse charging. This means that just like the Mate 20, the P30 Pro will be was able to fill some device or another phone, which supports the IQ standard. Of course, you will be able to use it with the standard included charger (40 W, almost one more compared to the previous model) charge with the speed of light via the USB-C connector. These are things that, in principle, others can also do, but Huawei knows how to package them the best.
The P30 series brings a few more sweets, among which it is worth mentioning IP68 waterproof for P30 Pro (allows the phone to be immersed in fresh water up to a depth of 2 m, where it should last up to 30 minutes) and IP53 for P30 (it means that we can spray it with water at most). It's also here, of course the Face ID system with which you will unlock the phone with only your face. You will be able to phone used as a "power bank" and shared energy with others, both via the USB-C input and with the aforementioned wireless system. So a lot of those things that are not self-evident in principle.
The Huawei P30 Pro is a smart evolution of its extremely successful predecessor Huawei P20 Pro and bets on the trump cards that are most important to users. The pixel fest offered by the Huawei P30 Pro's camera system is a subtle way of communicating photography dominance. But everything needs to be thoroughly tested in reality. And here we will also meet the price that for the Huawei P30 Pro with 8 GB of working memory and 256 GB of internal memory it is already touching the magic limit of 1,000 euros. However, this is a field where we were not used to this manufacturer. But it is already the case that with the P30 Pro, Huawei swam "strongly" into the class of premium phones, where there are currently only two, maybe three as of today. But on the other hand, we are convinced that imagination and innovation will count in this class in the future. Which, in a way, maybe we miss a little. Nevertheless, it seems that at this moment only a generous amount of bread and games is enough for the success of the Huawei brand. And only the greatest can play this game.
