The new Audi R8: even sharper, even more toxic

Audi R8

The Audi R8 has undergone a minor facelift that touched the visual part of the car, but most of the rest still represents the hair-raising supercar R8. Contrary to rumours, the R8 retained the naturally aspirated engine and did not resort to a supercharged 6-cylinder V-engine.

In terms of design, it has a refreshed look Audi R8 more sharp look. The mask of the car is expanded, and the air intake openings were separated from it. At the back, the air vent extends over the entire rear, and the air deflector or diffuser is even more more noticeable. The base Audi R8 has individual parts bodywork painted in black color with high gloss, Audi R8 V10 Performance Quattro, the new name for the Audi R8 V10 Plus, has these body parts dressed in matt titanium color. For both models, for an additional fee, you can choose body parts with exposed carbon fibers. If desired, you can consider a front air deflector made of carbon fiber and reinforced polymer, which is for 2 kilograms lighter from the usual. The interior hasn't changed much, but there are some new features upholstery color combinations.

The standard Audi R8 has 10-cylinder V-engine with 562 horsepower and 550 newton meters of torque. That means he has 30 horsepower and 10 newton meters of torque more than its predecessor. With this power, the R8 Coupe can from 0 to 100 km/h accelerate into 3.4 seconds and in 3.5 seconds, if it is a version with an open roof (Spider). The R8 with a hardtop achieves 324 km/h, and Spider 322 km/h.
