The Swedish band Mando Diao is preparing its first club concert here. They will perform on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in Ljubljana's Cvetličarna, and they will present themselves with their rich musical repertoire - everything from the biggest hits Dance With Somebody and Gloria to current Good Times and Shake.
Manda Diao have officially started working as band of the year 1999, his unique, imaginative and timeless musical expression consisting of garage rock, pop, brit pop, soul and r'n'b with strong influences of music from the 60s and 70s of the last century, and are still cherished today. Even before the release Bring 'Em In's debut album they were compared by the profession and the audience to colleagues The Strokes and The Hives. Already with the second album Hurricane Bar Mando Diao achieved international success, followed by a critically well-received album Ode to Ochrasy and an album Never Seen the Light by Day. Their big breakthrough came in 2009 with the album Give Me Fire!, featuring their greatest hits Dance With Somebody and Gloria.
Greatest hits albums followed, B-sides and MTV Unplugged album, and in 2012, Mando Diao released their first album in the mother tongue Infrustrated, which he brought to them Swedish Grammy and quadruple platinum circulation on home ground. An album followed two years later Ælita, which brought about a change in the band's sound – they turned from rock to dance and electronica, to synth rock on the album, which divided their fans. Mando Diao released their current album last year Good Times, with which the sound are returning to their rock and soul roots, but they still remain somewhere at the intersection of rock and electronica.
