Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) has launched Max, an enhanced streaming service that will first launch in the US on May 23, and will arrive in Europe in 2024. Max brings original HBO titles, Warner Bros. movies, Max Original Series, DC Universe, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, a wide range of children's content and the best food, home and lifestyle shows as well as reality shows and documentaries from leading brands such as HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID and others. Max will stand out among streaming services with a unique combination of a wide range of content, premium quality, cult franchises and a strong user experience, all at a great price.
Streaming content platform Max will bring together must-see HBO Max titles and exciting entertainment content from the discovery+ offering to provide a complete viewing experience for all ages. Various content will be refreshed regularly, with an average of more than 40 new titles and seasons each month. Max will have a unique offering at the same time with a collection of cult favorites and world famous brands, franchises, series and characters. Viewers will be able to explore the iconic worlds of HBO, the DC Universe and Harry Potter alongside hit movies, original series and popular reality shows, crime shows and comedies all in one place.
Content offering on the MAX platform
Among the newly announced titles is Max Original Harry Potter series, a faithful adaptation of the popular book series by JK Rowling, who will also executive produce; a new Max Original comedy based on the Big Popcorn series; a new prequel to HBO's 'Game of Thrones' titled A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight Max Original drama based on a series of films "Evil Summoned", show on the Magnolia Network "Fixer Upper: Hotel"; a new Discovery Channel series "Survive the Raft"; animated Max Original film "Peter & the Wolf", new Adult Swim's "Rick and Morty: The Anime", Investigation Discovery series "Lost Women of Highway 20", an animated Cartoon Network series "Tiny Toons Looniversity" and TLC's reality show "Love & Translation".
The first trailers for highly anticipated titles including the Max Original series have been unveiled "The Penguin" starring Colin Farrell; an original HBO miniseries "The Sympathizer", a spy thriller based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel of the same name; an HBO original series "True Detective: Night Country" starring Jodie Foster and Kali Reis; an HBO original series "The Regime" starring Oscar winner Kate Winslet; documentary Max Original series in six parts "SmartLess: On The Road", which follows Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes as they give viewers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their podcast's sold-out tour, and the children's Max Original series "Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai". A four-part HGTV show has also been announced "Barbie Dreamhouse Challenge", hosted by Ashley Graham, which will also be available as part of the Max service.

- 4K UHD: There will also be the option of an expanded catalog of content available in 4K UHD, including hits such as “Game of Thrones,” “The Last of Us” and “Harry Potter.” All Warner Bros. films released this year and in the future will also be available in 4K UHD when they arrive on Max after theatrical distribution.
