It was 1981 when the two guitarists met Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King decided to create a group. The Slayer, as they called themselves, drew attention mainly with their image and attention-grabbing make-up, and received both admiration and disapproval and disgust due to the many rumors of flirting with Nazism and Satanism. At first they played the bands' hits Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, but with their original compositions and brutal concerts, they quickly rose alongside the bands Megadeth, Metallica and Anthrax.

From his first album Show No Mercy, released in 1983, they have released 12 studio albums to date, which sold almost 5 million copies in America alone between 1991 and 2013. In 2007, they received a Grammy nomination for the piece Eyes of the Insane, and in 2008 they also received the award for the piece Final Six.

Your last album Repentless was released this year, on September 11, and was created in a slightly changed line-up, together with a guitarist Gary Holt and drummers Paul Bostaph. The concert, which will take place in Vienna two months after the release of the album, will be all the more rowdy, and undoubtedly as brutal as befits Slayer.
