"Domžale's cakes have always been famous, but there was none better than Lenčkova's." The paraphrase of Prešeren's poem beautifully describes the Domžale confectionery tradition, which dates back to November 29, 1938, when Janez Lenček opened the first confectionery in Domžale. At that time it was still in the house of the Steiner family, but after the end of the war he moved it to Kolodovorska Street. Many things have changed in Domžale since then, but one thing remains the same: the taste and smell of good things. The word about the sweet Domžale quickly spread far and wide, and today Lenček is regularly visited by sweet-toothed people from all over Slovenia. We can say that Lenček is one of the most professionally experienced confectioneries in Slovenia, as Mihael Lenček, one of the four confectionary masters who create sweet secrets, is also on the commission of the Chamber of Crafts for awarding master titles in the entire area of Slovenia and so far the only sworn court expert for the confectionary profession. On a daily basis, Lenček offers a wide selection of cakes, slices, tea cakes, savory pastries, potica, and for special occasions they will create cakes of your heart's desire. Of course, everything is prepared for us from carefully selected ingredients of Slovenian origin.
