In the capital, we are richer for the first Scandinavian bar Pri Larsu. On Gornji trg in Stara Ljubljana, Norwegian Lars Jenssen fulfilled his long-standing dream and opened his own bar. A combination of circumstances made it possible for him to open this one right in Ljubljana. The London-trained sommelier and cocktail mixer has a unique approach to bar management. He attends to each guest individually, whether it be advising on the selection of a drink or just a casual everyday conversation. He mixes cocktails from freshly squeezed juices and additives, which are often imported from Norway or Sweden and contain 6 cl of alcoholic beverages. At Lars, you can try authentic Scandinavian drinks such as Prince of Norway, Lennart and Fjellbekk. But since the drink goes down the throat more easily with a snack or two, they are happy to serve us Norwegian snacks - dried reindeer and elk, smoked salmon and other exotic Scandinavian snacks. In a very pleasant atmosphere, arranged in a minimalist Scandinavian style, Lars often introduces his guests to Scandinavian music. In summer, in addition to drinks, he will also serve us the meal of the day at lunch time and small appetizers. The bar at Lars is becoming a meeting point for Scandinavian tourists and local bar-goers, where everyone feels at home thanks to Lars' approach.
