Kurentovanje 2015, or the international carnival festival, will take place this year on February 7 in Ptuj. Kurentovanje is the most popular and massive cultural and ethnological event in Slovenia and Central Europe. This year too, extremely colorful and rich traditions of carnival characters and groups from the Ptuj region, as well as Slovenia and the whole world, will be performed, testifying to the close connection of people with nature and the flow of the seasons.
Kurentovanje 2015 in Ptuj will serve a very varied daily program. Carnival festival will include three thematic sections: EthnoFest, KarnevalFest and ArtFest. The center of the event will also be occupied by a rich entertainment, music and animation program, a gala dinner and the awarding of prizes to the most beautiful masks. Of course, he will not be missing either the traditional burial of the carnival, which will otherwise take place February 17 starting at 5 p.m. At the end of the event, the Biggest Styrian Carnival Chaga awaits us in the Ptuj Carnival Hall with Neda Ukraden, Nives Celzijus and Čuki.
