Discovering Antarctica: an adventure in the footsteps of a famous explorer

In 1912, the ship Endurance embarked on the Royal Antarctic Expedition. The journey began in Norway and tragically ended in the Weddell Sea when the ice crushed the ship. After 107 years, the wreck was located, offering an opportunity for Arctic exploration and discovery of the legendary ship's path.

Sir Ernest Shackleton was a famous explorer who was with the ship Endurance set out to explore Antarctica. In 1912, the expedition ended in a shipwreck, and the wreck of the Endurance has been considered missing ever since. On March 5, 2022, after 107 years of searching, the location of the wreck was finally discovered. Travel agency The Luminaire offered keen explorers the opportunity to explore Antarctica and witness the events of the first discovery of a century-long missing wreck. The expedition will be led by the legendary explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, in collaboration with scientists from Cambridge University.
