O modern retro radios we already wrote here, but now an even more attractive one has caught our eye portable radio, which we assemble entirely ourselves from cardboard. Thanks to the Berlin-based designer and illustrator Axel Pfaender we can now welcome with open arms the magnificent sound system, without which we could not do without in the 80s.

Pfaender combined his passion for music and design into a retro, yet modern cardboard box for today's technological needs Berlin Boombox, which can be easily connected to a phone or any other mp3 player and enjoy urban rhythms.

The Boombox is unique not only because of its cardboard housing, but also because with a little manual skill let's put it together ourselves. We get it in DIY package, which includes a cardboard structure and electronic parts. Assembling, which does not require a drop of glue or any other tools, will take only a few minutes.

The black and white graphic elements are printed on sturdy and high-quality corrugated cardboard, which is included in the set alongside a strong carrying handle for carrying the radio. We need three more AA batteries for Hi-Fi speakers and two 5-watt amplifier.

Axel Pfaender came up with another move that will impress us - colors. So that everything is not black and white, we can design our music world in our own way, as boombox sets are available in different colors. Super cool!
