Scientists are the ones responsible for improving the world we live in, but they are generally (and sadly) less respected than the Kardashian family. But a new superyacht called the Earth 300 wants to change that by putting scientists on a pedestal…or rather, a sphere.
Idea for Earth 300 is to create a vessel with such an iconic design that the richest people will literally queue up just to get a chance to experience it. These wealthy ecotourists will then fund the actual mission of the superyacht Earth 300: conducting scientific research, which will help solve some of the biggest problems of our planet, such as global warming.
It will be on a 300-meter yacht 22 laboratories, which boast state-of-the-art equipment, including the first quantum computer for the open sea. There will be 160 scientists on board who will spend most of their time in the 13-story glass sphere. The superyacht will be driven by a new guy emission-free nuclear generator, called the Molten Salt Reactor, and will be the first vehicle of its kind in the world to be powered by such a device. For the first time, Earth 300 is expected to set sail in years 2025, when she will go to Antarctica.
