Electric helicopter: for testing in Dubai

It's actually not a helicopter, but a volocopter! We will return to the definition a little later. The German company Volocopter (E-Volo) will start testing these flying taxis in the skies of Dubai this year. Obviously, Dubai will become the place to test the vehicles of the future.

They will start testing in the last quarter of this year, but it should last quite a while 5 years. Last year, a prototype was sent into the sky for the first time Volocopter VC200, and at the beginning of 2017 they already presented their first production model. They called it 2X. The maximum distance it can travel is 27 km at speed 70 km/h. Otherwise, the maximum flight speed is just 100 km/h, but they recommend flying with 50 km/h, so the flight time can last 27 minutes.

But the German company is not the only one in similar agreements with the city authorities of Dubai, as recently the Chinese Ehang and even Uber have started their story. As an interesting fact, in Dubai they have a plan to make the year 2030 as much as a quarter of all public transport was by air. We'll see how events unfold. But the fact is that it all sounds pretty exciting.

Oh, and that too! So, a volocopter is a helicopter with 18 rotors. We haven't forgotten.
