Taiga Orca electric jet ski: Tesla on water

Orca jet ski

It runs on electricity on water, and it's salty. It's no cat's cough, but Taiga Motors has nailed it with the Orca electric jet ski.

Company Taiga Motors, which was the first to start manufacturing electric snow sleds, chose manufacturing as a new challenge electric jet ski. They succeeded in this, as the Orca jet ski can already be ordered. It boasts an electric motor with 180 horsepower and final velocity 104 km/h. Battery capacity 23 kWh will enable 2 hours drive, with fast charger but it will be possible to fill it up to 80 % in just 20 minutes.

Taiga had the most work in making the battery, which not only has to survive constant contact with water, but also its capacity must not reduce (due to annual winter storage). Because the battery represents half weight of the scooter, the frame is made of carbon fiber. It is located on the steering wheel screen, through which the driver will monitor GPS navigation, was connected via LTE networks (or Wi-Fi, if found at sea) and via Bluetooth. It will also display information about sea temperature, as well as the image from the cameras mounted on the scooter. Of course, it also comes in a package mobile application for system updates. Taiga Motors will start delivering the Orco next year, and they will want for her converted 21,700 euros.
