Elixir is a strong beer developed by Laška brewmasters and contains 16 percent extract in the basic dessert and 7.6 percent alcohol by volume. It is amber, red-brown in color, with a pleasant, gentle, malty smell. It is characterized by a wide range of flavors – from chocolate to fruity to aromatically bitter.

Elixir belongs to the category of beers known to connoisseurs under the name BOCK. These are light or dark beers with high alcohol levels and extracts. These types of beers are characterized by a malty taste, low but aromatic bitterness, a pronounced alcoholic character and a creamy foam. With its high extract content, Elixir belongs to the category of double BOCK beers. That's why Elixir, which comes to the market in non-returnable 0.33-liter bottles and in packs of 6 and 24 bottles, will certainly be the right and welcome refreshment for the upcoming holidays.

Brewing beer has always been a real art, but since Pivovarna Laško is committed to tradition, it often draws inspiration for development from its rich history. Historical sources show that around 1900, strong Porter beer was brewed in Laško, later renamed dark Laško beer, which, according to its characteristics (18% of extract in the basic dessert), belonged to the BOCK type beers. In 2010, Pivovarna Laško celebrates its 185th anniversary, and this jubilee year is just right for the story to repeat itself.

All types of beer from Pivovarna Laško are based on carefully guarded traditional recipes. Although beer brewing technology changes with the development of brewing, the basics remain the same throughout and follow tradition. In addition to high-quality malt and hops, high-quality water is extremely important for good beer, which was already realized by the brewer Simon Kukec, who is considered the founder of the first "thermal beer" beer brand in Laško. Microbiologically flawless water from the hills around Laško gives Laško beers of all kinds a special and distinctive taste.

Since beer is sensitive to sunlight and heat and large temperature changes, handling and storage are very important. It needs to be stored in a dark and cool place to keep it clear and long-lasting. But he undoubtedly deserves this due to his nobility.
