Billionaire Elon Musk has overtaken former President Barack Obama as the most followed person on Twitter. According to follower numbers listed on their Twitter profiles, Musk currently has 133,068,709 followers, while Obama has 133,042,819.
Musk's $44 billion purchase of Twitter no doubt helped his following skyrocket and overtake Obama. The Twitter boss reached 100 million followers last June, and the number has only grown in the months since.
Between posting random and sometimes offensive memes, Musk uses his account to communicate various changes on Twitter. He also polled his followers on some important decisions, such as whether Donald Trump should get access to the platform again, or whether Musk should step down as CEO of Twitter.
Musk's posting of content is significantly different from Obama's, who primarily uses his account to promote important social issues and highlight some of the achievements he has achieved as president of the United States. The same applies to Justin Bieber and Katy Perry, who occupy the third and fourth places on the list of the most followed people on Twitter.
But we still have to admit that Musk is the funniest of them all and that's why it's worth following. His thoughts, however, do not please everyone, which in a way is also right! In modern society, there must be a right to any opinion.
