Andy Rubin is one of the initiators of the Android smartphone operating system. He has always dreamed of the perfect smartphone. That's why he founded a company that will make the best smartphones in the world. And with the launch of the Essential Phone PH-1, it seems his dream has become a reality.
The basic philosophy of the approach Essential Phone is to produce and offer to the market the most optimal and in fact perfect product in its category. That's why you don't have to expect anything but absolute excellence from it, because it starts from the ground up and wants to 'scalp' the best smartphones like Samsung S8, LG G6, Pixel Phone and iPhone. Even with a price that is actually ridiculously low for everything it offers. But about her at the end.
The front is decorated edge-to-edge display, which is of course bigger than its biggest rival – the standard-bearer king among phones – Samsung S8. The engineers managed to pull the screen to the extreme edges, leaving only space for the front selfie camera. In fact, this is the first phone that fully utilizes the front of the phone for the screen. The inside hides the usual 'pattern', which is somehow excellent. The heart is driven by the Qualcomm 835 – an excellent processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of data storage space.
On back pages are located two lenses, hinting at two sensors that work on power similar to the technology it adorns Huawei P9 and P10. One lens and sensor is dedicated to capturing monochrome images, while the other is dedicated to color photography. When they combine their powers, we get a great photo. Also due to the optics that capture 13 million pixels. Of course, video capture in technology is also possible 4K. The front camera offers 8 million pixels, which is actually standard in this class. And absolutely enough for the best possible selfies.
PH-1 it is also said to be more durable than its competitors. In terms of greater durability and better materials, which should ensure that the exposed parts of the phone are more durable.
How much trust they have in their product is also confirmed by the fact that they decided not to have it on the phone manufacturer's logo. Also because they want to create the most refined phone design. This decision also predicts that the phone will only have a basic operating system preloaded Android, without unnecessary software, with the exception of what the phone really needs for its optimal operation.
And how will it compete in a world where they rule Apple, Samsung, Huawei, LG and other giants? If nothing else, we are passionate about the idea of making the best possible smartphone and offering it to the market for 699 dollars (624 euros). This already sounds competitive, but unfortunately this year it will only be available in USA.
