Falafel is an Arabic chickpea dish, namely a fried chickpea patty with spices. We all probably know the title king. The falafel king can be found in Kamnik, in a kiosk right next to the sports hall. Samir Kaddoura is a small, cute kiosk owner who got into the culinary business because of the culinary tradition of his ancestors, especially his father. Oče Hasib, a real Palestinian who found love in Slovenia, is known for the very popular (and delicious) Arabic evenings he organized around Slovenia. As a great connoisseur of Arab culture and Arab cuisine, he combined his knowledge with his son's. Samir first started in Ljubljana and then in Kamnik with real Arabic fast food. In his white kiosk, he will offer us with a big smile a small but incredibly tasty selection of dishes from the Arab tradition in a European guise. It started with falafel, which he transformed into a convenient sandwich with plenty of vegetables and a delicious sauce, but he also took pity on carnivores, for whom he now prepares a shavorma sandwich with chicken meat. For dessert, he will suggest a small piece of Arabic baklava with pistachios. We will certainly return to his kitschy little kiosk.
