Improvisation and music by Dušan Bogdanović modeled after the Renaissance ricercars
For Renaissance lutenists, musicianship was inextricably linked to composing and improvising. Serbian-born American guitarist Dušan Bogdanović and his former student Bor Zuljan deal with music and their instruments in a similar way. In Radovljica, they will present for the first time a new program of improvisations and Bogdanović's original compositions based on Renaissance ricercar. Their musical language also contains elements of traditional music and jazz.
