Did the music of the classical period of Greek antiquity disappear forever, unlike the fine arts, architecture and literature of the time? Already at the end of the Renaissance, artists and intellectuals tried to revive the connection between text and music in Greek tragedies and thus created the first operas. Musician and music archaeologist Conrad Steinmann has been devoting himself to the reconstruction of instruments and music of ancient Greece for almost twenty years. His music is new, but it is created on the basis of historical facts.
