The Kurja Polt 2017 genre film festival is approaching, a festival dedicated to cults, classics and genre renegades. As the name suggests, don't expect to sit still in your seat while watching movies. The unique genre film festival, which often brings to the screens for the first time films labeled cult, genre, exploitation, B film, "off mainstream" and many film orphans, as well as silenced, overlooked and banned films, returns to the scene for the fourth time this year and will take place from April 19 to 23, 2017.
Genre Film Festival Kurja skin 2017 will take place between April 19 and 23, 2017 with projections in Slovenian cinematheques and Cinema hall. The genre film festival will serve not only films, but also one-day professional conference of the cult film entitled "Scrap or riches? The politics of genre film”.
She will be the guest of honor of the festival Christine Lindberg, which according to the cult Quentin Tarantino "the coolest Swedish actress". She starred in only a handful of films in her very short film career, but nevertheless became an important figure in the exploitation film of the 70s.
In 1973, she made a film Thriller - a cruel film (Thriller – A Cruel Picture), which inspired Tarantino's bloody saga I'm going to kill Bill (Kill Bill, 2003/04) and that famous one eye patch Elle Driver (Daryl Hannah), with whom he paid tribute to Lindberg.
