Film "Gran Finale": films you must not miss in December

2017 will end in style! The most important movie of the year is coming – Star Wars. And a bunch of other movies that will satisfy all tastes. We also looked to January, where quite a few spectacles are expected.

Let's take a look at our strawberry selection of movies you shouldn't miss in December.

SCIENTIFIC FANTASTIC
STAR WARS: THE LAST MEAL
USA, 2017, STAR WARS THE LAST JEDI

Lucasfilm's Star Wars: The Last Jedi continues the Skywalker saga as the heroes of The Force Awakens join the galactic legends in an epic adventure that unravels centuries-old secrets of the Force and brings shocking discoveries tied to the past. This film was created under the direction of director Rian Johnson. The new heroes of the franchise will still be at the fore Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and John Boyega, but you'll also see some old familiar faces like Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher in the film. Despite the trailers, we don't actually know much about the film. But it's usually the case with movies that they have to surprise us at least a little.

Fans of French cinema will be in for a treat. The rich and influential American couple Anne and Bob decide to move to a prestigious villa in romantic Paris. While organizing a lavish dinner for sophisticated international friends, the hostess discovers that there will be 13 guests at the dinner. Panicking over the odd number, Anne insists that her faithful servant Maria disguise herself as a mysterious Spanish noblewoman, turning the odd number of guests into an even number. However, a little too much wine and some playful flirting leads Maria into a romantic relationship with a British art broker. Of course complications ensue.

Luc Jacquet, who spent two months filming in harsh conditions in Antarctica last winter, returns with a new film, mostly shot in 4K resolution, that includes never-before-seen footage from a submarine and drones. In this story, we follow a young penguin who is about to embark on his first journey and follows a mysterious call that, with the onset of winter, attracts each penguin to set off on a journey with an unknown destination. This decisive moment, this irresistibly attractive call, will be observed through the eyes and memories of an older, experienced penguin.

They have just graduated from college, each is looking for their place under the sun in their own way, and they all realize that it is difficult to make money for a living with just your voice. Until they join forces again and head to Europe together.

In order to beat the game and return to the real world, they will have to embark on the most dangerous adventure of their lives.

Director Alexander Payne's Shrinking is a cinematic experiment of sorts that brings to the fore a range of important themes about human civilization – from issues related to ecology and overpopulation to civil rights, poverty and illegal migration. It is a social satire in which the main character realizes that his life would be better if he shrunk. Because after the procedure he measures only a modest twelve centimeters in height, which corresponds to only 0.00364 percent of the volume of the human body, his body uses much less natural resources. This brings him a more leisurely life in an idyllic settlement of diminutive people called Ležerni gaj.

His decision changed the course of history, because by enforcing such a policy, he strengthened the self-confidence and will to resist the British people, thereby creating the basis for the final victory over Hitler. A film that will delight all fans of historical films.
