Certain cars become legends. And it was the Ford Bronco that, with its loyal audience, deserved to be reincarnated in a retro-chic form.
Ford Bronco remained good in production 30 years, until Ford decided in 1996 to end his journey. Since then, SUV and SUV enthusiasts have been desperately waiting for news about the return of the iconic SUV. And after a multitude of concepts, our patience with the unveiling of the new Ford Bronco finally paid off.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this presentation is the fact that Ford is naming it Bronco to use as a new brand of its off-road vehicles, which should compete with Jeep and Land Rover and, of course, with everyone else in this interesting and "uncivilized" segment.
Of course, the three-door classic model is back, and for the first time also a model Bronco with four doors. But there are also "sport" model versions, which completely dominate their segment - because there is no such thing as a small "small" SUV. Some models even have removable body parts - doors and roof for open-air driving, which is remarkable and similar to the Wrangler.
At Ford they ensure that they have prepared for luxury and meet some extreme standards of durability - all this with the aim of making the Bronco "family" perform really well in the field.
In addition, this new family of vehicles also boasts the best drag ratio in its class and the best ground clearance.
In connection with its powerful EcoBoost engines with up to 310 horsepower, the whole thing will be quite interesting even on the ground. Ford promises that the new Bronco models will be extremely adaptable to the customer and their needs, making them very, very individual. Prices in America will start at $29,995, and Americans can reserve theirs with a $100 deposit. The Jeep Wrangler thus got an outstanding competitor that knows how to take the crown.
