ON THE WAY FROM BLEDAOn short summer trips, we often visit the pearls of Gorenjska, such as Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, or more hidden corners of the attractively fresh landscape. On the way there or back, we can stop at the Gala pub near Lesce, on the main road to Jesenice, where they also produce light and dark fermented barley beer according to the original Czech recipe. The beer without preservatives is brewed in barrels that are placed right in the pub. Served in a beer glass in the pleasantly cool shade of the large garden, it is also suitable for those who do not otherwise touch it. For 800 tolars, they can pour it into a two-liter bottle to take home. And if we get hungry while drinking, Gala offers various Italian and vegetarian dishes and grilled dishes. In the summer months, guests often choose pizzas, for example, the four-flavor pizza, which contains, in addition to sauce, cheese and ham, prosciutto, tuna, fresh peppers and arugula.
