Cheesecake originally came from New York. It is a dessert consisting of one or more layers, with the thickest layer consisting of a mixture of fresh cheese, eggs and sugar. This year's hit is the gin and tonic cheesecake.
Ingredients for sponge cake:
- 300 g of biscuits
- 90 g of butter
- a little rosemary
Crush the cookies with a rolling pin and pour over them the butter that you melted earlier and added rosemary to. Set aside 3-4 tablespoons of chopped cookies, which you will need for sprinkling in the middle of the cake and for decoration. Line the bottom of the baking pan with the cookie dough and place it in the refrigerator.
Ingredients for the preparation of the cream:
- 375 g of cheese spread
- 200 g of sour cream
- 400 g of sweet cream
- 10 g gelatin powder
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 110 ml of gin and tonic
Dissolve the gelatin in a couple of tablespoons of cold water. Heat 200 g of sweet cream and when it boils, dissolve the swollen gelatin in it. Mix the cheese spread, sour cream and sugar until it foams. Add gin and tonic. Using a mixer, mix all the ingredients into a uniform mixture. When it is ready, spread it evenly on the chilled dough. Whip the remaining sweet cream (200g) separately and carefully apply it to the cake with a spatula as the last layer.
Place everything in the refrigerator for an hour or so and garnish with lime slices. Bon Appetit.
