Through the newly launched Girls4Tech Connect website, as well as activities carried out in collaboration with education partner Scholastic, teachers and parents can now download free and easy lessons to help children learn about STEM topics from the comfort of their homes or anywhere in the world (with fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Mastercard has expanded access to its familiar STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic) curriculum with a range of new online creative educational resources called Girls4Tech, which offers valuable knowledge in the field science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The program was designed to help parents and teachers engage and inspire children, old from 8 to 12 years.
These activities and lessons are based on global science and math standards, while incorporating Mastercard's deep expertise in payment technology and innovation. All this with the aim of enabling children to discover a range of STEM careers such as fraud investigator, data expert and software engineer.
Starting this week, new activities will be posted weekly on the Girls4Tech website, Facebook page and Twitter account. Lectures are currently available in English, with Spanish and Chinese content coming in the coming weeks.
All lessons are designed for students to work independently and are available also materials for teachers, so that they can conduct online lectures.
