Gmail: “Undo Send” – an official feature that prevents an email from being sent immediately

Gone are the days of trying to come up with a convincing excuse for sending an email that wasn't quite ready to be sent. Now you can use the official "Undo Send" function in Gmail or "Cancel sending" cancels the sent e-mail. We have exactly 30 seconds.

This week, Google announced on its blog that it is bringing the feature to Gmail Labs “Undo Send” or “Cancel sending”. Although the feature was recently made available for the service Inbox by Gmail, this is the first time that all users of the normal web version will actually be able to use the extremely useful feature. The feature will be available to all users within two weeks.

If we want to enable the "Undo Send" function, we must follow the following instructions:

1. In the upper right corner, click the gear icon and then select Settings.
2. Scroll down to the “Cancel Send” option and click Enable.
3. Let's determine cancellation period (the time during which it is possible to cancel sending a message - up to 30 seconds).
4. Click at the bottom of the page Save changes.
