New technologies create incredible life stories. This time the story of a man who found his family after 25 years with the help of Google Maps and the Street View option.
Sarah Brierly got lost on the train as a 4-year-old boy when he wrote while waiting for his brother. The train left and Saroo lost touch with his family. The contact he was looking for for more than 25 years.
We don't know the details of the story, but we do know that Saroo was adopted by foster parents and taken to Australia. The new "mother" hung a map of India above his bed, as a reminder that he must not forget where he comes from. Saroo carried India and his family deep in his heart, in the still vivid images of the streets, smells, colors and sounds he experienced as a child.
Almost a quarter of a century later is Saroo using the app Google Maps realized that he could find his family. Pictures from childhood, in the child's photographic memory, were vivid enough that with the help of the option "Street view” managed to recall the surroundings of the railway station in his memory Calcutta. When he continued, the application "Street View” led to the front door of her birth house.
An amazing story presented in a nutshell documentary film.
