If you would rather see a healthy version of Nutella on the table, then homemade vegan Nutella is perfect for you. You will only need three ingredients for it.

Nutella is an extremely popular hazelnut and cocoa spread. We like to eat it on bread, on pancakes, in pastries, but sometimes we like it best if we can eat it with a spoon directly from the glass. But it must be admitted - this is not exactly the healthiest habit.

Homemade vegan nutella

Although nothing can replace the original Nutella, try this vegan version, which is very easy to make at home. Healthy Nutella does not contain dairy products, is naturally sweetened and tastes great, and you only need three ingredients for it.

The basis of the recipe is tahini, i.e. a spread made of roasted, ground sesame seeds, which contain omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and other nutrients. Tahini spread is also said to be an excellent source of calcium, iron and magnesium, and is rich in fiber and high in protein. Compared to the original Nutella, its vegan alternative has fewer calories, carbohydrates and sugar, so you can eat it every day.

Recipe: homemade vegan nutella

Ingredients (for 4 servings)

half a cup of tahini spread
3 teaspoons maple syrup (or some other natural sweetener like honey)
2 tablespoons carob powder (or cocoa powder)
half a teaspoon of cinnamon if desired

Preparation

Put all the ingredients in a bowl or blender. Mix or mix slowly. Once the ingredients are combined, we taste the mixture to see if it suits our taste. If we want it sweeter, add more maple syrup (or honey or some other sweetener).

For a deeper chocolate flavor, we add carob powder. A pinch of salt can also be added if desired.

Finally, mix the mixture completely or mix it at a higher speed (if you used a mixer) until it is completely combined. Homemade vegan nutella can be eaten immediately or stored in the refrigerator.
