Everyone has already found themselves in a situation where they spent a lot of time deciding whether they can use a piece of clothing again or whether they have to throw it in the washing machine. Each garment has slightly different characteristics. Below you can read for each category how many times you can wear the same piece of clothing before you have to wash it.
Here you can read how many times you can wear the same piece of clothing before you have to wash it.
Underwear
We probably all agree that you can only use underwear once, and then it has to be washed.
Pants
You can wear the pants about six times, and then it's good to wash them for hygiene reasons.
Shirts and T-shirts
In the summer, it is wise to wash shirts and T-shirts after each wear, as they are in close contact with the skin and absorb a lot of sweat. In winter, we can be a little less strict.
Clothes
There is no need to wash the dress every time you wear it. Dresses are often colorful or have interesting patterns, but this fades a little more with each wash.
A bra
The bra should be washed, say, once a week. This only applies to regular bras, sports bras must be washed after each wear.
Socks and tights
Socks, like underwear, must be washed after each use.
sportswear
Sports clothes absorb a lot of sweat, so they must be washed after each use.
Nightdress
In principle, nightgowns are washed as often as bras. It is certainly better to sleep in clean clothes.
Shoes
Shoes are washed as needed - when they get really dirty or when they start to smell.
Skirts and shorts
Skirts and shorts are recommended to be washed after three to four uses.
