As announced, Huawei has officially launched the new Huawei Mate 40 series of phones in the form of a now-regular online event. The Mate 40 series consists of four models, characterized by new chips, even faster charging, even crazier cameras and a refreshed and outstanding design. It is also characterized by the Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design model, which has as many as 8 cameras on the back and a price tag of 2,295 euros.
This year is a special year for Huawei. For the first time, he cannot fully represent his own phone models with full support of Google services. The same goes for a series of phones Mate 40. Despite this, the company does not give up and continues with presentations of extraordinary technological pearls that promise a lot on paper. Company director Richard Yu thus presented four phone models for the future.
The main common characteristic of all models is screens with curved edges, which are called at Huawei Horizon Display, and a specific and different design than the competition. Which is a good thing, because we're tired of the exact same phones, and it's the Mate series that jumps out a bit. Although curved screens are not to everyone's taste, also or mainly due to their extreme susceptibility to damage. But it is true that the Mate series looks really premium because of this. It is definitely necessary to mention the processor Kirin 9000, which is adapted for 5G and is made for the latest 5 nm technology, which will make it even more energy efficient. They are the "flag bearer" screens 90 Hz, which is less than some other brands, but according to Huawei, they should be quite sufficient in achieving an excellent ratio between energy consumption and user experience. Since we at Huawei are used to being extremely attentive to the user experience and battery life, this is a logical decision. The common feature of the whole family is also an improved method Super Charge, which allows the Mate series to charge really fast, and somehow the camera system that the company is developing with a German company Leica and they are already proverbially among the best in the world. With this purpose, the ultra-wide-angle lens, the impressive telephoto lens (10x hybrid zoom + 50x digital) and the powerful high-definition main camera have received groundbreaking upgrades. With the dual cinema camera (Dual Cine) and dual ultra wide-angle camera (Dual Ultra Wide Cine), it is possible to capture amazing wide-angle videos or photos with both the front and rear camera units. Of course, video capture is possible in the mode 4K. This is becoming the standard of all phones.

Both phones have large 6.67-inch screens AMOLED with a resolution of 2772 x 1344 and a refresh rate 90 Hz. Both models have a fingerprint reader under the screen and oval openings for the selfie camera, which also has a 3D sensor for advanced biometric facial recognition. Huawei has finally put more emphasis on the speakers. These are stereo – i.e. double – with a supposed for 150 percent louder bass for a better music listening experience and hands-free calling. At Huawei, they note that more and more people are making hands-free calls and it is necessary to pay more attention to this, and at the same time, phones are often real small portable speakers. Both models, as already mentioned, are powered by the new 5nm Kirin 9000. The latter offers just 24-core graphics for an even better gaming experience, the third generation 5G chip, even better NPUs and ISPs. They both have 4,400 mAh battery with support for 66 W wired and 50 W wireless charging and has an IP68 certificate, which ensures waterproofness. Mate 40 Pro pauses 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB data memory. Plus version though 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB data memory. The Huawei Mate 40 Pro has four cameras on the back. The system therefore consists of a 50 MP LEICA wide-angle main camera with f / 1.8 lens and OIS, a 20 MP f / 1.8 ultra-wide video camera and a 13 MP periscope 5x telephoto camera with OIS. The Plus (+) version also has an 8 MP telephoto camera.
