Have you ever dreamed of a truck that could glide silently through city streets without polluting the environment? Well, Ford has just made that dream come true with its latest model, the 2025 Ford Ranger PHEV Hybrid. And no, it's not an April Fool's Day joke!

Ford wasted no time and after a short teaser campaign reveals the first plug-in Ranger - i.e. a hybrid. This marvel of technology will go into production at the end of the year, with the first deliveries scheduled for early next year. Interestingly, this model is only intended for the European market so far. And why wouldn't it be, because the Ranger is currently the best-selling pick-up in Europe! This tradition has been maintained for quite some time.

Under the hood of this beast is a 2.3-liter plug-in hybrid system that combines the power of a turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor. Although Ford has yet to reveal exact power figures, this Ranger PHEV is claimed to offer more torque than any other Ranger in history. When equipped with the 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine, the truck has 443 pound-feet of torque (600 Nm). In terms of power, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost produces 270 horsepower (201 kW) in non-electrified form, and the new plug-in hybrid powertrain will most likely exceed that figure with added electric support—that is, electric motors. Maybe that number even rises to the magical 400 horsepower. Let's wait!

But that's not all! Ford is targeting an all-electric range of up to 28 miles (45 km) on a single battery charge. And if you think that means compromising on towing capacity, you're wrong. Rated braked towing capacity is 7,716 pounds (3,500 kg), which is in line with the rest of the Ranger lineup.

Not to mention another innovation that Ford is introducing to the Ranger family – Pro Power Onboard. This system provides electrical outlets in the cargo area for tools and appliances. While there aren't many visual differences between the standard petrol models and the new plug-in hybrid version, you'll notice a charging port on the rear fender and a new 18-inch wheel design.

Hybrid Ford Ranger The PHEV 2025 is more than just an upgrade. It is a symbol of evolution and proof that tradition and innovation can be combined into a harmonious whole. The history of the Ford brand and the heritage of the Ranger are rich and deep, and with this new model they have set new milestones. Get ready for the future because it's already here!
