IKEA ROGNAN: ultra-chic robotic folding furniture for small spaces

The American startup Ori and IKEA joined forces and developed robotic furniture that is not only ultra-chic, but also foldable, for small spaces, which are abundant in cities - this is how IKEA ROGNAN was created, which will one day decorate modern homes.

IKEA ROGNON it is 'storage unit', which divides the space into two divorced works and contains the bed, table and sofa. We manage the unit via command plates and it can be moved left or right, as well as the bed and the table 'let's clean up', when we don't need them. System ROGNON it combines a line of furniture IKEA PLATSA and robotically platform – the unit is thus L-shaped in has a bunch storage options.

The platform can also be combined with the furniture line IKEA TRADFRI and smart lighting - an ever-increasing number of inhabitants is expected in cities, as according to some global data, they are growing every week 1.5 million moved to urban centers. Because of this, every square meter of land will matter, and even more than that, every one will matter square a centimeter in a small apartment.

The solution that IKEA recalled will thus help k better use it up space, and there will be fewer problems with storage things, which is usually the biggest problem in small living units. They will be the first to bring robotic furniture to the market in Hong Congo years 2020.
