FRESH JURČKI FROM THE ŠKOFJELOŠK HRIBOVJE On the way through Škofja Loka, follow the signs towards Železniki and then at the roadside chapel, where you see the first sign of the Gostilna pri Boštjanu, turn right towards Križna Gora. After about five kilometers, we stop at Boštjan and a wonderful view of the surrounding hills opens up in front of us. At Boštjan, you will always get freshly prepared food on your plate, everything baked is prepared in a bread oven, including suckling pig and lamb. They cook on a wood stove, they don't even want to hear about a microwave oven. In season, vegetables are picked right in the home garden, and mushrooms in the surrounding forests. You should definitely not miss the foamy mushroom soup with mysterious spices, which are Boštjan's trademark, but the buckwheat porridge with mushrooms, raw carp with grilled porcini mushrooms and, last but not least, the classic, always exciting porcini mushrooms with eggs, also convince. Boštjan is also worth climbing for a relaxed wander around the surrounding wilderness. For those who want to ride, the local children will gladly saddle one of the pet horses that are frolicking in the nearby stable.
