Sleep is brandy, they say. And we probably all received the same sermon from our mother when we were young, saying that sleep is important. True, but at the time it fell on deaf ears, even though every morning before school we regretted going to bed too late. Well, most of us carried this habit into adulthood. Neither the yawning, nor the dark circles, nor the lack of energy taught us. What if we told you that lack of sleep leads to disease, obesity and even drunkenness?
A person needs daily from 7 to 8 hours of sleep. With humans, there are no shortcuts and the possibility of switching to 'airplane' mode. Only when we are patching maybe. And only 14 days with po six hours of sleep it is enough for our body to behave as if we had it in our blood 0.1 per mille of alcohol. The good news is - if you haven't been doing it for years - that you can get 'sober' quickly without going to Alcoholics Anonymous and pay off your 'sleep debt'.

You no longer see, recognize or perceive the effects or harmful consequences these. That's how you think, e.g. yours motor skills ok, but only because it slowly regressed, and the situation in the 'before/after' perspective is straightforward disastrous. If you deny this, then you are definitely an addict 'lack of sleep'. And so it may be time to listen to the advice of a doctor or loved one at this stage. Admit it to yourself. That's half the battle. Someone once said that he will sleep when he is dead. It's true, but at least it's nice before quality living.
