In 2021, Jaguar will mark the 60th anniversary of the E-Type sports car model. To this end, it presents a special version of today's equivalent: the F-Type Heritage 60 Edition.
F-Type Heritage 60 Edition will be available in collectibles 60 copies around the world. Each one will be hand finished by SV Bespoke's "personalization experts". Jaguar Land Rover, with both coupes and convertibles available.
The basis 60 Edition based on the model F-Type R, which has all-wheel drive and 5.0-liter V8 engine with 567 horsepower. The standout exterior change is the use of the traditional Sherwood Green paint, a shade used by Jaguar as the original color palette of the E-Type, a color that has not been available since the 1960s.
Further external fixes include glossy black and heritage-inspired chrome accents, diamond-cut and forged 20-inch gloss black alloy wheels and black brake calipers.
There are also several cabin tweaks and finishes, including new leather upholstery consisting of two-tone Caraway and Ebony Windsor leather. The headrests feature embossed E-Type 60 logos. The changes don't go beyond the visual, so it's mechanically identical to the standard F-Type R updated for 2019. Its ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h should amount to only 3.5 seconds.
Each model will be manufactured in the factory Jaguar Land Rover's Castle Bromwich and will then complete it at XV Bespoke Jaguar Special Vehicle Operations in Warwickshire. The price is £122,500, which is significantly more than the F-Type R coupe's £97,315 (we're talking base price, of course).
In addition, Jaguar's classic operation will produce six matching pairs of restored ones 3.8 liter E-type models. The latter are based on the original prototype cars - with nameplates 77RW and 9600HP - including the one that was driven from Coventry to Geneva to be launched at the Swiss Motor Show in 1961. And that's a real touch with tradition!
