Karma Automotive has just introduced the Revero GTS, a high-performance version of the Revero GT plug-in hybrid sedan.
Compared to the standard model, it has Karma Revero GTS much improved performance. It should accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in less than an hour 3,9 seconds, and the final speed is limited to 210 km/h. Dual electric motors provide 536 horses and 860 nm of torque.
But if Revero GTS don't drive like a hooligan, it can reach up to 579 kilometers, of which you can approx 80 km you enjoy driving only on electricity. This is made possible by a battery with 28 kWh. When the battery runs out, the three-cylinder turbo engine kicks in to power the built-in generator, which powers the car.
2020 Karma Revero GTS was presented at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The base price of the car is around 149,950 dollars, the price for Europe is not yet known. But if we calculate, the new Karma should cost around 136 thousand euros, but of course there are taxes. All Karma vehicles are hand-built in Southern California, so even though production will begin in the first quarter of next year, buyers will have to wait quite a while.
