Kitchen in quarantine: epic baking fails that will make you laugh to the point of tears

These epic baking mistakes will really make you cry!

Every one of us now and then craves something sweet and soothing, that comfort food. So why not try that banana bread recipe we got two years ago? It won't bake itself!

Pans fly through the air and the baking show is "on". The timer beeps and voilà, before us is a test monster and an epic “fail”. Bored Panda has collected some of the most failed attempts at baking in quarantine, which will awaken the chef or baker in you, because whatever you do… It CANNOT be as bad as this!

Otherwise, you are not the only one thinking about baking bread or pastries. The pandemic has turned many into aspiring home chefs. And to such an extent that suppliers are forced to increase production. At Bloomberg they report that baking ingredients have become a luxury. Sales of kvass increased compared to last year increased by 457 percent, flour for 155, butter for 73, baking powder for 178 and eggs for 48 percent.

Let's take a look at some epic "failed" baking attempts!

12. “Baking in quarantine, experiment one. Half the cookies are burnt, half are raw, the fire alarm went off. The lessons for the future are: my fire alarm works; my neighbors are on standby; my baking skills can only improve from here. Good thing I didn't start with bread."

13. "In my attempt to bake a pizza, I found out that the yeast expired in 2010. And that the stores are also currently out of stock. Then I read that you can make kvass from dried fruit. I used dried longan and this is an interesting result. The dough was elastic, and when baked, it turned into a delicious, crispy and slightly chewy flatbread. Goes great with peanut butter.”
