Gerhard Fuchs is considered the best chef in Austrian Styria. He and his Yvonne will conjure up special culinary delights that we can only find elsewhere. Original Styrian cuisine is intertwined with intoxicating aromas, original ideas and excellent wines for every dish. They also have a special menu prepared for each season that plays with our hungry eyes. Each dish is something special in itself. They recommend a menu consisting of seven courses. Marinated goose liver with forest mushrooms, crayfish, creamy oyster soup and tender pork. The venison will be served in two courses, with walnuts, stewed vegetables and kohlrabi. We will taste melted Vacherin Mont d'Or cheese with spinach and truffles, and to finish, a sorbet made of red oranges and sweet Moscato d'Asti wine, and a creation made of Valrhona dark chocolate and pears. We will charge 89 euros for such a menu, without wine accompaniment. For the New Year, let's indulge ourselves and enjoy a three-day break with excellent cuisine, in harmony with nature, music and peaceful sleep in one of their rooms. The New Year's Eve package starts on December 30 and includes an evening program and dinner with wine. The next morning, after breakfast, we will go on a winter hike with mulled wine and a homemade snack, stop at the Erich & Walter Polz wine cellar, continue our journey to the winemaker Tscheppe and have five o'clock tea. The festive evening will begin with an aperitif and end with an unforgettable gala dinner. The next morning, after brunch, you will go home. At Kreuzwirt, magical aromas will lead us into the new year along the path of unforgettable cuisine. The 3-day New Year's package costs 590 euros per person in a double room.
