The KTM X-Bow GT4 has been competing in various racing series since 2015 and has been further improved for the upcoming 2018 season. KTM and Reiter Engineering have joined forces to make a thorough overhaul of the X-Bow, the main driver of the improvement being a significant reduction in the X-Bow's running costs.
At to Reiter Engineering are convinced that no car is faster and cheaper than X-Bow GT4 in demanding VLN endurance competition. Despite the good price-quality ratio, they want to improve this ratio even more. While just over 60 other race cars are equipped with transmissions that last around 5,000 kilometers, the new X-Bow will have a transmission that can last 10,000 kilometers driven when transferring just 700 Nm of torque.
Engineers have upgraded several chassis components, extending the life of the parts to approx 20,000 kilometers driven. They even made a calculation according to which they spend for a kilometer of the competition 3.9 euros. They also improved computerized engine control, fuses and many other components. The X-Bow GT4 has only 999 kilograms and drives it 2-liter Audi TFSI engine, which has 360 horsepower. The price is without tax 152,360 euros, and they plan to make it by spring 15 specimens of this endurance athlete. If you want it, just hurry up and buy it, because the production is already sold out until February.
