The Land of Ice is coming back and will brighten up the winter events in Slovenia for the sixth year. This time it is moving to a new location in the center of Ljubljana on Kongresni trg. Ice Land 2018 opens its doors to visitors on November 30, and you can also go down the ice slide.
The central story of a beautiful fairy land Iceland 2018/2019 they are dragons based on a book proposal by a foreign author Nik Kupper - Dragons on the way. The well-known author of picture books for children, who lives and works in Carinthia, Austria, tells us in his work the dragon of Klagenfurt, which magically revives, transports through all Slovenian lands. Of course, an important part of the story also takes place in Ljubljana, a city that has lived under the sign of the dragon for centuries, a city that has the Dragon Bridge and, last but not least, a dragon in its coat of arms. Individual chapters of the Dragons on the Road picture book will thus come to life in this year's Ice Land.
To make traveling around Slovenia even more fun, you will be able to down an ice slide. You will warm up in the ice bar with hot chocolate, fragrant mulled wine and tea. Spectacular Iceland is really something special and will be raised the offer of Advent Ljubljana to a higher level. With such an exhibition, Ljubljana is setting itself up alongside the English London and the Belgian city of Bruges. Ice Land will be open to all visitors from Friday, November 30.
