Lexus has given ice driving a whole new meaning. Instead of taking his Lexus NX model to a frozen lake, he asked the masters of ice carving from the London studio Hamilton Ice Sculptors to put it on ice bikes. Before driving with illuminated ice wheels, the Lexus NX spent five days in a freezer at 30 degrees below zero.
Lexus is driving on the ice raised to a whole new level. This required special measures. Nevertheless, they didn't have to go to the Arctic or the far north of Finland, instead they took their SUV, Lexus NX, placed in the freezer for a few days, where he is on a mission at -30 degrees Celsius "prepared" for five days. In the meantime, they are to him ice carving specialists prepared a set wheels made of pure ice. Despite the extreme conditions, the Lexus had no problem with ignition (which shows its durability), driving with lighted ice tires (integrated LEDs) is a real attraction.

Making a wheel out of ice started with a laser scan of the original wheel on the rims, followed by work on the computer, and then three craftsmen spat in their hands and chiseled each wheel (with profiles on the tread) with Japanese steel chisels and other craftsman's tools 36 hours. They are made from soft running water, hence the transparency of the structure, but they made sure that the ice did not shatter under the weight of the car acrylic attachments, which ensured their carrying capacity.
