We can do a lot in our younger years for a healthy old age. Many people think of cardiovascular health, while others think of physical activity. According to the American Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), falls are the main cause of injury and death in the elderly, which is why they recommend a slightly different type of exercise. One that boosts your mobility, which is why it's been called the kar in America "Mobility exercises". Exercise for mobility, as the Slovenian translation would say, contributes to better movement and a lower probability of falls.

Fitness expert and author of a series of literature on this topic, Len Glassman, points out that exercises are about mobility, especially the ability of the joints to move actively and passively. With the help of mobility exercises, you will get a good stretch, and at the same time you will also recognize individual rigid skeletal structures in the body and age-related changes in bones and cartilage.

Mobility training begins with a dynamic warm-up that goes through trunk rotations and bodyweight deep squats and similar exercises. This improves the joint fluid in the joint capsule, which contributes to better mobility of the joints and reduces friction. Mobility training prepares our body for the stress of more intense training, so you really can't go wrong with it.

Dynamic warm-up exercises that serve to protect joint surfaces are the best way to increase your mobility. Experts recommend hip circling (stand on one leg, use a counter for support and gently draw circles in the air with the opposite leg), heel and toe walking, and arm circling.

You can perform these simple exercises before your chosen sports activity, while you will work up a good sweat during, for example, jogging, and these exercises will ensure your long-term mobility. Before starting any new exercise regimen, it's always a good idea to talk to your doctor of choice.
