At Lordstown Motors have revealed their long-awaited Endurance Truck model, without the special glamor and glitz that we are used to from Tesla. The CEO of Lordstown Motors, Steve Burns, has clearly set ambitious goals, including the first vehicles, which should be delivered to customers as early as 2021. According to Burns, the Endurance model will be the best in its category.
Both in terms of handling, safety and range. And it will be – in his words – the best pick-up of all time. Details were scarce, but the pick-up will be the first production electric car with four motors mounted directly on the wheel hub. It will offer 600 horsepower, have a range of around 400 kilometers and a towing capacity of up to 7.5 tons. Its maximum speed will be 130 km/h. Lordstown started accepting $100 deposits and claims to have received as many as 14,000 pre-orders.
