McLaren 600LT: something toxic again on the island

McLaren 600LT

McLaren's line of sports cars Sport Series got a new member. It is a McLaren 600 LT or Longtail. It's based on the current McLaren 570S and features a modified carbon body that's 7.3 centimeters longer than the car it shares the chassis with.

New ones McLaren 600LT differs from the McLaren 570S by the very noticeable exhaust pipe finishes, which are like those of the McLaren Senna. Although the McLaren 600LT at first glance looks similar to the other products of the brand from Woking, England, it was much changed. He got rid of everything 95.98 kilograms weight and weighs only 1,247 kilograms. And this despite the fact that quite a few aerodynamic body parts have been added to it and it is a few centimeters longer. Thanks, of course, go to the components from carbon, which were developed at the department McLaren Special Operations.

If we put the McLaren 570S and the McLaren 600LT side by side, we will find that the latter differs from the former by a longer front bumper, side skirts and a longer rear diffuser, which also has a spoiler. Some would argue that they are still the same, but the 600LT has it 23 % newly developed components. The differences are not only noticeable in the exterior, as there is much more interesting waiting for us inside. You can think of it carbon sports seats from the model P1 or even upgrade them to the even lighter ones found in brutal McLaren Senna.

The McLaren 570S offers 562 horsepower and 600 newton meters of torque. The McLaren 600 LT has 592 horsepower and 620 newton meters of torque. What can we quickly determine that it has upgraded 3.8 liter V 8 cylinder in a McLaren 600LT 30 horsepower and 20 newton meters more torque. With this, the 600LT has the same power-to-weight ratio 474 horsepower per ton of weight. Performance figures haven't been revealed yet, but they're sure to be anything but modest and befitting of a supercar. The McLaren 600 LT will be available in exclusive limited series, and lucky buyers will spend a day on the track in the presence of McLaren staff to make the 600LT experience truly something special.
