If Saturday morning is reserved for a visit to the market, a walk around Čopova and a martini in Tivoli, then Sunday should be dedicated to time travel. Such a feeling will be conjured by the Medieval Day, which will take place every third Sunday in the summer months in the center of Ljubljana.
On July 20, August 17 and September 21, it will take place on Gornji trg in Ljubljana Medieval day on Gornji trg. Ljubljana will become Luwigana, where we will witness knightly duels, and the bravest will be able to try their hand at swordsmanship and archery. Visitors with a creative streak will enjoy one of the many creative workshops, make their own souvenirs or immerse themselves in the large selection of medieval-colored products on the stands.
The highlight of the day will be a street game with a medieval wedding and knights' swordfight, and to continue the day inspired by the Middle Ages, we recommend that you have a medieval lunch at home. Hint: back then, most people ate without utensils.
