Meissen x adidas ZX8000: Adidas presents a sneaker made of porcelain

Porcelain is obviously not just for dinner sets and cups. Believe it or not, this material can also be used to make sneakers.

The sports brand adidas and the German porcelain manufacturer Meissen recently developed the ZX8000 model, which is a hand-painted leather porcelain running shoe. Its design was inspired by a famous vase Meissen Crater from 1856, which is known for its large amount of colors, patterns and motifs.

The "Porcelanska Sneaker" is part of adidas series A-ZX, which consists of new versions of the running model ZX8000, on which artists, designers and other creative people worked. The model created in collaboration with Meissen is particularly complex. It has pieces of real porcelain on it that are sewn onto the tongue and the back of the sneaker.

Meissen x Adidas ZX8000 contains 15 elements from the Meissen vase, including floral patterns and dragon motifs. Each of these elements was painted by four Meissen artists, but even such masters worked on the motifs for six months.

This one dear model Of course, running shoes are not really meant for running. It is a collector's item, so it is currently up for auction. Experts estimate that adidas porcelain sneakers could reach a price of one million dollars.
