Microsoft has introduced the new Surface Go tablet, a smaller and less powerful version of the popular Surface Pro device. Can the model prove to be a worthy successor to Microsoft's flagship?

Go, which otherwise runs in the operating system Windows 10, boasts of 10-inch touch screen, which can be supported with a special plinth. It displays content in proportion 3 : 2 and resolutions 1800 x 1200 pixels. The front camera allows login with facial recognition.
Connection Surface Connector is intended for charging, as well as the connector USB-C 3.1, which also ensures data transfer to other devices. With Go, you'll also be able to use all the multitasking modes that Windows 10 has to offer.
The tablet, which contains a relatively wide screen frame, weighs 0.52 kg. Manufacturers offer customers the opportunity to choose between four colors (Alcantara, silver, red and blue) keyboard covers Surface Go Signature Type Cover. The tablet can also be controlled with the Microsoft stylus Surface Pen and a mouse Surface Mobile Mouse.
Microsoft's new product is powered by an Intel dual-core processor Pentium Gold 4415Y. You can choose between two versions of the device: the first offers 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage space, while the other will try to convince you with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB SSD storage space. The battery included with the Go allows up to 9 hours continuous use.
The first customers will receive the Surface Go in August. A cheaper version of the tablet without additional accessories will be charged in the US 399 dollars, which calculated amounts to 340 euros. Information about the price and availability for the Slovenian market is not yet known.
