Milivié 1 is a so-called restomod, restored and improved popular Volkswagen Beetle. The icon will thus get some modern technology, and only 22 examples will be made. A staggering 570,000 euros will be required for each of them.
At first glance, it is noticeable that it will be a remake Milivié 1 also required some design changes compared to the original Volkswagen Beetle. The design changes are more similar to Porsche models with air-cooled engines, such as the 356 model. The original headlights have been replaced by round LED headlights, and some additional lights are now also located in the bumper of the car. The rear ends with a ʺducktailʺ-shaped air deflector and horseshoe-shaped lights.
The interior was completely changed and especially modernized. The driver is available 12.3-inch screen for the needs of the instrument display and the infotainment system. Several display modes will be available, from modern ones to classic ones with round instruments. Passengers have a greater choice of openings for charging electrical devices, such as a 220-volt connection, USB-C or a classic USB connection. They didn't even forget about wireless charging.
The Milivié 1 requires a Volkswagen Beetle 1303, which was on sale around 1970 and was slightly larger than the classic Beetle. The renovation is thorough and requires thousands of hours, and with it we also get a modern chassis and brake system with discs. Milivié 1 drives 2.28 liter air cooled 4-cylinder engine, with Weber carburetors and electronic ignition. An automatic transmission with four gears takes care of power transmission ZF 4HP, which transmits power to the rear wheel pair. The driver will be able to choose between Drive, Sport and Manual driving modes. They will renovate and upgrade 22 specimens Beetle, in honor of the classic, since 22 million classic Beetles were made in total.
