German carmaker MINI is expected to produce a limited run of its all-electric MINI Cooper SE Cabrio for European customers starting in April 2023. The move comes after the automaker received an overwhelmingly positive response to the one-of-a-kind model it unveiled in the summer of 2022. This small series of eco-friendly vehicles represents another important step in MINI's commitment to electric mobility.
MINI Cooper SE Convertible will be available in Enigmatic Black and White Silver, with bold bronze accents and features the E logo from the MINI Cooper SE. The electric drive of the cabriolet boasts a range of 201 kilometers and reaches 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.
MINI takes on a pioneering role with special edition alloy wheels. The 17-inch Electric Power Spoke two-tone alloy wheels are made from 100% secondary aluminum. The combination of green electricity during production and the use of secondary raw materials can significantly reduce CO2 emissions compared to conventional production processes.
The interior of the car features MINI Electric Design features, including MINI Yours Leather Lounge sports seats with seat heating and adjustable thigh support, multifunction sports leather steering wheel with Nappa leather finish and MINI Electric badging, which emphasizes the car's limited series character.
This limited edition MINI also boasts a Head-Up Display, Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function and MINI Driving Assistant, all of which enhance the comfort of the all-electric convertible.
With a range of 201 kilometers MINI Cooper SE Convertible allows for outdoor excursions outside the city limits. MINI has established small series production for the first time, with the MINI Cooper SE Cabrio being produced in a limited run of 999 vehicles alongside the regular MINI Cabrio in the Netherlands.
